Google Chrome starts blocking aggressive ads!

Whether this is good or bad news, you’ll decide for yourself.

Google plans to introduce its own adblock in February 2018. From that moment on, Google will take the decision from users about which ads can be displayed in their Chrome browser and which cannot. On one hand, this could be considered a positive development because there are many websites with annoying ads, including video ads that disrupt the silence while scrolling through a page. In my opinion, however, it’s weak. On the other hand, I would prefer to have the option to choose whether or not to use an adblock in Chrome.

It’s hard to say for sure since the project is currently being piloted, but I get the feeling that Google is doing this more for itself because it’s no secret that Google makes billions of dollars from AdWords. Could this be a form of monopolization of the advertising market?

Can all advertisers meet Google’s strict criteria? It’s hard to say, but in my opinion, this is a somewhat alarming trend because I believe it aims to monopolize the online advertising market on websites. Google has the world’s largest search engine and one of the most popular web browsers, and now it will also have its own integrated adblock. In my opinion, these actions bear the hallmark of a monopoly.

For internet users, this may seem like a convenient advantage because it would significantly reduce the number of offers directed towards potential customers through this channel. Google, which leads in the world of search engines, will dictate to others which ads meet its criteria and which do not. Is this a deliberate action aimed at maximizing profits from AdWords?
