Does price make miracles happen?

The Price Makes the Miracle

It is said in trade that “the price makes the miracle.” While this may be true in some cases, it’s not universally applicable.

Can we apply this term to service markets, such as web development, IT services, and others? Let’s consider a few examples.

For instance, would you hire a construction team that offers the lowest possible price on the market, without considering their expertise or reputation? Probably not. You’d want to choose a reliable team with a proven track record.

The same applies to web development. When choosing a developer or agency, should the lowest possible price be your top priority? Not necessarily. A cheap website can be a false economy in the long run.

Let’s consider a hypothetical scenario. Imagine you’re looking for a web developer to build a website for your business. You come across a developer who offers an extremely low price. Sounds like a great deal, right?

However, when you try to make changes to the website or request additional features, you discover that the developer is not willing to make any modifications without charging extra fees.

This can lead to a toxic relationship between you and your web developer. They may register the domain name in their own name, making it difficult for you to transfer the domain or cancel the contract.

In this scenario, the cheap website becomes a liability rather than an asset. You’ve invested time and money into promoting the website, but the developer has control over it, and you’re stuck with them.

The moral of the story is that while price may be an important factor in choosing a web developer or IT service provider, it’s not the only consideration. Look for expertise, reputation, and a proven track record before making your decision.

When evaluating the cost of a website or IT service, consider the following factors:

* The quality of the work
* The level of customer support
* The flexibility to make changes or modifications
* The potential long-term costs

Don’t be swayed by low prices that seem too good to be true. In the end, it’s better to pay a fair price for high-quality services than to risk getting stuck with a subpar website or IT solution.
