Migracja from Shoper to Prestashop

This means that you do not yet have knowledge of open-source platforms (: I have been in this industry for 20 years and as often as I make migrations from the Shoper platform, I also make migrations to the open-source platform, i.e. PrestaShop (: why does this happen?
Although Shoper is a subscription-based platform that usually generates insignificant costs during the first year (it’s just a few hundred zlotys), it no longer looks attractive after the first year and you still have to pay for it every year, with an increasing annual subscription fee because the more options you enable, the more you will pay each year, not to mention inflation either.
Why are there searches on Google about migrating from the Shoper platform to PrestaShop?
It is due to a desire for a sudden escape from a subscription-based platform to a proprietary one, but it’s a bit like getting caught in the rain without an umbrella (: it happens because PrestaShop is a platform that is not very user-friendly, has a very small number of free modules that allow for such flexibility, and if paid modules for functionality you need cost $100, $200, $300 dollars, and if there is no such module you will be trapped by the person/company that built your online store on PrestaShop, paying for expensive maintenance.
The best open-source (proprietary) platform available is Woocommerce, which has a market share of almost 60%, while neither PrestaShop nor any subscription-based platform has even half of Woocommerce’s market share – and it’s no coincidence (: because there is no other platform that offers such a huge base of free modules and such independence from the online store contractor.
The difference in quality, convenience, and intuitiveness when using this platform is not comparable to PrestaShop, as clients keep coming to me who are unable to manage their current store maintenance, order management, editing the main page, or adding/moving products in the store, let alone more complex tasks.
If you are standing under the pressure of receiving a Shoper invoice for several thousand zlotys and do not know what to do, do not make impulsive decisions because migrating to PrestaShop can cost you significantly more than staying with Shoper and this cost will include building a store on PrestaShop and its maintenance by a contractor because you will not be able to handle its updates and expansion yourself and you will be doomed to repeat the process in a few months.
Woocommerce has 60% of the market share for a reason, it is the best e-commerce platform ever invented, offering unlimited self-management possibilities and independence from the online store contractor.
